aXcel Family

The aXcel family of products is designed for simple installation and inexpensive scalability. The aXcel platform can support network throughput rates from 10Mbps up to 350Mbps and have solution specific licensing in order to make deploying the aXcel solutions quick and easy.

VPNaXcel - Improve performance between two sites through network optimization. The VPNaXcel product increases site-to-site redundancy and provide scalable bandwidth options by utilizing the built-in WAN load balancing option.

WEBaXcel - Provide accelerated web connectivity for end-users while protecting against unauthorized web surfing. The WEBaXcel product combines simple URL filtering with advanced link bonding and network redundancy capabilities.

SERVERaXcel - This server load balancing solution distributes applications across multiple servers and Ethernet links in order to ensure a higher degree of redundancy and availability then possible with other server load balancers.

LINKaXcel - Bond multiple ISP connections together without BGP to dramatically increase network throughput, provide more bandwidth to end-users, and ensure automated redundancy in the event of a network outage.

NETaXcel - Guarantee bandwidth for critical applications like VoIP and ensure equal distribution of bandwidth to end-users during periods of high bandwidth utiliation with the NETaXcel traffic manager.

Dynamic Bandwidth Management & Prioritization

XRoads dynamic bandwidth management works by looking at current usage levels and applying policies based on those levels. As more bandwidth is used, the stricter the policies become. The network administrator can also create their own policies based on defined levels. Further policies can be created based on application type, protocol, port, IP address, MAC address, and/or a defined user which has been authenticated. The EdgeXOS is also able to identify and limit access to many P2P and Instant Messaging applications, including Skype.

Extensive Network & Application Reporting

Only the EdgeXOS appliance includes this level of built-in network reporting capabilities. With ourXFlow™ reporting capabilities network administrators can view who the top networks users are, what applications are used the most, and how much bandwidth is being used on each link in real-time. Our unique SLA reporting capabilities can be used to confirm whether your ISP is meeting its commitments and automatically adjust traffic routing in the event that a critical remote site begins to suffer connectivity problems via one of the WAN links by adjusting traffic to route across the more responsive paths.

Enterprise Class Web Content Filtering

Protect the network is real-time URL filtering and automated website categorization. The EdgeXOS includes enterprise class web content management with detailed usage reporting capabilities. View live web requests and whether they have been allowed or denied. Produce daily email reports showing top categories, top allowed/denied sites, and top web users, over 20 reports in all. Create custom site filters or only allow specific sites. Create bypass rules to allow certain users with direct access, and optionally add per-user web-plugin's to provide real-time anti-spyware, anti-virus, and anti-malware support.

Built-In Web Acceleration

Most "web filtering" products on the market simply don't offer the ability to utilize multiple WAN links at the same time in order to improve throughput and reliability. Only the EdgeXOS platform with Multi-Session Acceleration™ is able to provide both web filtering and multi-link web acceleration in order to increase downloads speeds. The EdgeXOS platform is able to combine the bandwidth of two or more ISP-links to actually accelerates web connections. Example: Start with a single 2.5Mbps DSL link, then add a second 2.5Mbps DSL link, the total combined throughput can reach over 10Mbps. That's WAN bonding!
